NATRAS AG is entered in the commercial register of the Canton of Zurich. The purpose of the company is to provide services in accordance with the operating contract for the development and operation of a system for recording driving data required for the collection of the performance-related heavy vehicle charge (HVC). The Swiss Confederation, represented by the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS), acts as the client.

By when do I have to have decided on a NETS provider - i.e. NATRAS as a basic provider (NNA) or an authorised NETS provider - at the latest?
Between 1 January and 31 December 2025, depending on the condition of the Emotach and the choice of provider (NATRAS as NNA, EETS or approved provider ZNA). The following dates apply for vehicle owners who opt for NATRAS .

Can I order the vehicle recording system (VRS) in advance?
No, ordering VRS is part of the online-service-desk (OSD) and can only be done after confirmed registration. See also dates.

I have registered with the FOCBS in the ePortal, when can I register with NATRAS as a vehicle owner?
- - From 1 December 2024, registration will be possible for vehicle owners who put new vehicles into circulation in January 2025.
- From 1 January 2025, registration will be possible for vehicle owners who need to replace a defective Emotach.
- From 01 March 2025, registration will be possible for all vehicle owners.

Our mission
On behalf of the responsible Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS), NATRAS AG ensures the basic supply for the new national HVC recording system and thus leads this system, now in its third generation, into the future.
The revised Heavy Vehicle Charge Act (HVCA) provides for the commissioning of a so-called "National NETS Provider" (NNP), which is commissioned by the FOCBS to provide the basic supply. The FOCBS has found a suitable NNA as part of the corresponding WTO tender and concluded the corresponding operator contract. The contractor, NATRAS AG, was founded by the two WTO award recipients (LOSTnFOUND AG and Kapsch TrafficCom AG) specifically for this purpose.
